The year 2026 marks thirty years of cinematic work by Roberto Catani, an artist trained in Urbino who has developed a distinctive, analogue approach to animation. His films are defined by a meticulous “fatto a mano” process, requiring thousands of hand-drawn sheets, each layered with multiple colour passes. This volume collects all the original drawings from Il burattino e la balena (2024), presented at the Venice Biennale – Orizzonti 2024 and also qualifying—beyond other recognitions—for the Academy Awards.
Alongside the frame-by-frame material, the book includes a dedicated section of preparatory sketches that reveal the development of the film’s characters and the early stages of the creative process. At the end of the original frames, a QR code provides access to the full film.

Tutte le mani del Maffia tells the story of Maffia Illicit Music Club, a unique cultural and musical scene that emerged in Reggio Emilia in 1995. Through photographs, graphics, documents and testimonies, the book captures the identity of a self-organised creative community. An archive spanning music, club culture, art, graphic design and experimentation from the late 1990s and early 2000s. A collective portrait of an experience that blurred the boundaries between entertainment, culture and artistic research. A valuable document of an extraordinary and irreproducible chapter in Italian music and cultural history.

Not Far From Here explores the skateboarding community through the urban spaces where it takes shape, highlighting its cultural and social diversity. It shows how people and places continuously influence each other, between raw subculture and its more mainstream side. The project is built on ten years of images and footage collected across Italy, Europe, and overseas.
It reveals a shared sense of belonging and an ongoing reappropriation of public space as both social action and personal expression.
